Those who wish to experience spiritual relief, come to Kryžiai. Even three wakes are celebrated here, namely of Pentecost, Peter and Octavian. After the high Mass you may listen to a concert held by local amateurs, pad to a nearby hill of crosses, wash yourself with the spring water that has mysterious powers.

St Ann’s Feast is celebrated on July 26, near the beautiful Prelomciškė mound. It is always visited by a great number of participants who come on foot and by cars. Among the participants there are local mistresses of the houses, who had given cabbage-heads a stroke according to folk traditions for them to grow faster; there are also other citizens, who are minded to shake a hand or to give a flower to all Anns that take part in the festival of their name. On that day they receive most of the respect and attention.

August is the month for fishermen to rally together to celebrate a Fisherman’s day. To be there is to the purpose for those who wish to ‘tease’ fish in Lake Dusia for the first time, because not every beginner, who angles in the sea of Dzūkija can take pride in effective catch. Therefore, everyone should listen to advices of local fishermen on how and where it is the best to catch smelts. Another attraction is spree with the ruler of Lake Dusia Neptune and his little mermaids as well as local amateurs; also you may taste fish caught by locals. If you come to the festival of Bird watch, organised on the firs decade of October, you will be surprised by a big number of migrating birds, that cover Lake Dusia as if bees do their honey comb.
